Happy New Year

Hey everyone, how's life going? This week was great. We got to spend New Years at a members house and play card games. We had to leave early but we got to see some fireworks from inside our apartment. Unfortunately there was a ton of fog so we couldn't see so much.

Also i got to celebrate my birthday! First one on my mission. We had a super awesome member invite us over for pizza (with pumpkin pie) it was so good! The members here know how to cook.

We also had zone training, I got to give my first tema there. (I don't know how to describe what a tema is in English, it's like a talk but you can also make it into a discussion or activity ect.) It went great but I started running over time. we're going to play volleyball with the zone today, insert sarcastic shout for joy here. Good news is my comp is a total nerd to so we might ditch out early :)

This week's spiritual thought comes from a hymn

193
I Stand All Amazed
1.I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me,
Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me.
I tremble to know that for me he was crucified,
That for me, a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died.
Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!
2.I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine,
That he should extend his great love unto such as I,
Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify.
Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!
3.I think of his hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt!
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet.
Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!

So this hymn is amazing if you take the time to slowly read it. It has so much depth and truth to it. It is by far one of my top ten favorites. You can listen to it at https://www.lds.org/music/library/hymns/i-stand-all-amazed?lang=eng

Thanks for all of your emails this last week,
